Bill what was agreed, and note what changed

Use the estimate's lines. If the scope changed on the day, for example the owner kept the wood or added a second stump, show it as its own dated line. Tree jobs change more often on site than most trades, and a clear line keeps the change friendly.

Crane and equipment lines

If a crane or lift was rented for the job, keep it as a separate line. Clients understand equipment costs when they can see them, and it makes the removal line itself look fair.

Questions tree service pros ask

Should tree services charge a deposit?

Many ask for one on large removals, especially when a crane has to be booked. Put it on the estimate, and show it as paid on the final invoice.

How do I bill extra work on a tree job?

Get the owner's OK on site, then add it as its own line on the invoice with a short description.

From estimate to paid, on your phone

VanReceipts drafts tree service estimates with cloud AI, turns them into invoices in one tap, and takes card, wallet or bank payments. Receipts and mileage land on the same job, so you see what it made.
