A tree removal quote for a maple at the curb
A tree removal quote template is a fixed price for the tree work named on the sheet, sent before the climb. The one loaded above is a 40 ft maple at the curb. Before tax it is $2,000: climb and lower $1,600, and haul the wood and brush $400.
This tree service quote has no crane, and it does not take $150 off for leaving the wood. The stump is outside the $2,000. There is no deposit. The date on the sheet is the date this price ends. The dollar amounts are round samples so the addition can be checked. They are not a price for the work.
| Line | Amount |
|---|---|
| Climb and lower a 40 ft maple at the curb | $1,600 |
| Haul wood and brush | $400 |
| Quote before tax | $2,000 |
Acceptance is the signature line, or a written reply that names this quote. After the date on the sheet, $2,000 is no longer the offer. A 60 ft oak rigged over the house, with a half day of crane and a choice to leave the wood, is the tree service estimate template.
The climb names ANSI Z133, and stops there
The notes say the climb is to ANSI Z133. ISA describes that standard as the American National Standard for Safety and Health Requirements for Arboricultural Operations, a United States safety standard for arboricultural operations (read October 15, 2026).
The same page says the 2017 edition was effective until 27 May 2026, and that Z133-2026 has been approved by ANSI and is now available. This sheet does not state approach distances. The stump and a crane are outside the price.
A crown reduction that leaves the tree
The crown button is $900. The line names the work: reduce the street side to 10 ft of clearance. The tree stays. The sheet does not state a percent of the crown.
ANSI A300 (Part 1)-2001, Standard Practices (Pruning), is an American National Standard for tree care operations. Section 1.1 says the A300 standards present performance standards for the care and maintenance of trees, shrubs, and other woody plants (read October 15, 2026).
Section 1.2 says they are intended as guides for drafting maintenance specifications. The copy read here is the one the Illinois Commerce Commission posts. That copy names the National Arborist Association as secretariat, and it was approved on May 22, 2001. A later edition may differ. This page quotes the 2001 pruning part only.
A stump, and three hangers
The stump button is $180 to grind one 24 inch stump. The tree is not removed. Chips stay on site unless a haul line is added. The hangers button is $450 for three limbs named in the notes: over the driveway, over the front walk, and in the curb maple. An hourly storm rate is a different document. Published ranges for a removal are on the tree removal cost calculator. The oak, after it is down, is billed on the tree service invoice template.
Where a home-improvement deposit rule applies
None of these sheets takes a deposit. Where the work is a home improvement, California's writing rule and down payment cap are on the construction quote template. Other states write their own rules. This page is not legal advice. More forms are on the templates page.

Questions tree service pros ask
What is a tree removal quote template?+
A tree removal quote template is a fixed price for the tree work named on the sheet, with a date the offer ends and a line for the client to accept it. The maple on this page is $2,000 before tax. The stump and a crane are not in that price. The dollars are samples so the math can be checked, not a price for the work.
What should a tree service quote include?+
The tree, how it comes down, what is left out, the date the offer ends, and a place for acceptance. This maple is climbed at the curb. There is no crane, no stump, and no credit for leaving the wood.
Does a tree quote have to state a pruning percent?+
Not this one. The crown line names the street side and 10 ft of clearance, and the tree stays. ANSI A300 (Part 1)-2001 says those standards are guides for writing a specification. The copy read here does not supply a percent limit, so the sheet does not invent one.
Can I download a tree removal quote template as Word or Excel?+
Yes. The quote you fill in downloads as a PDF in three designs, and as a Word file and an Excel file.
