An electrical quote for a Level 2 charger
An electrical quote template is a fixed price for work on a panel that has already been checked, sent before the work. The one loaded above is a 32A Level 2 charger. Before tax it is $1,100: an individual branch circuit, 40 ft, $620, and sample model EV-32, which we supply, $480.
The panel on this quotation already has space. If the panel is full, this quote does not apply. A 200A upgrade that assumes the grounding electrode can stay is the electrical estimate template. There is no deposit. The date on the sheet is the date this price ends. The dollar amounts are round samples so the addition can be checked. They are not a price for the work.
| Line | Amount |
|---|---|
| Individual branch circuit for a 32A Level 2 EVSE, 40 ft | $620 |
| EVSE, sample model EV-32, we supply | $480 |
| Quote before tax | $1,100 |
Acceptance is the signature line, or a written reply that names this quote. After the date on the sheet, $1,100 is no longer the offer.
What a course summary says about NEC 625.40
This sample is a 32A charger, so it is over 16A. A license-renewal course summarizing NEC 625.40 says the 2023 text requires an individual branch circuit only for EVSE outlets greater than 16 amperes or 120 volts (read October 15, 2026).
The same page says the 2020 text required an individual branch circuit for every EVSE outlet, and that a 2023 exception allows more than one EVSE where 625.42(A) or (B) permits it. The course says to read the NEC text at NFPA. This sheet does not say every charger needs its own circuit. Name the edition the jurisdiction adopted.
A fan on the box that is already there
The fan button is $310: sample model CF-52, which we supply, $220, and hanging it on the existing fan-rated box $90. Bracing a new box is outside that price. If the box is not listed for a fan, this quote does not apply.
Mike Holt, writing in EC&M from the 2017 NEC, says an outlet box for a ceiling paddle fan must be listed and marked as suitable for that use, and must not support a fan weighing more than 70 lbs (read October 15, 2026).
The same answer cites NEC 314.27(C) for the next point: a box for a paddle fan that weighs more than 35 lbs must be marked with the maximum weight it can support. If that weight is not marked and the fan weighs more than 35 lbs, or if the fan weighs more than 70 lbs, the fan is supported independently of the box.
A surge protector alone, and a bathroom circuit
The surge button is $285 for a whole-home surge protector on the panel that is already there. The panel stays. The electrical estimate includes a surge protector inside a 200A upgrade. This quote is the surge alone. No new code section is cited for it.
The bathroom button is $420: a 20A bathroom receptacle circuit, 25 ft, $380, and a GFCI device $40. The device is named because it is what is being sold. No code section is cited for it. The new circuit on the electrical invoice template is a kitchen circuit. How to build the price under these lines is in how to price electrical work.
Where a home-improvement deposit rule applies
None of these sheets takes a deposit. Where the work is a home improvement, California's writing rule and down payment cap are on the construction quote template. Other states write their own rules. This page is not legal advice. More forms are on the templates page.

Questions electricians ask
What is an electrical quote template?+
An electrical quote template is a fixed price for work on a panel that has already been checked, with a date the offer ends and a line for the client to accept it. The charger on this page is $1,100 before tax. A full panel is not this quote. The dollars are samples so the math can be checked, not a price for the work.
What should an electrical quotation include?+
The circuit, who supplies the equipment, what a full panel does to the offer, the date the offer ends, and a place for acceptance. This charger sheet names sample model EV-32 and holds through the date on the sheet. There is no deposit.
Does every EV charger need its own circuit?+
Not from this page. A license-renewal course summarizing NEC 625.40 says the 2023 text requires an individual branch circuit only for EVSE outlets greater than 16 amperes or 120 volts, with an exception where 625.42(A) or (B) allows more than one, and that the 2020 text required one for every EVSE outlet (read October 15, 2026). This sample is 32A, so it is over 16A. Name the edition the jurisdiction adopted.
Can I download an electrical quote template as Word or Excel?+
Yes. The quote you fill in downloads as a PDF in three designs, and as a Word file and an Excel file.
Missing a line you always need? Email support@vanreceipts.app and we will add it to the template.
