Per pane is easiest to check
Pricing per pane, or per window with panes counted, gives the client a number they can verify by walking around the house. Price inside and outside separately, since plenty of clients only want the outside done each time.
- Second story and up. Ladder or water-fed pole work takes longer and carries more risk. Price it as its own line or a higher pane rate.
- Hard water stains and construction cleanup (paint, stickers, mortar) are different work from a maintenance clean. Price them separately.
- Screens, tracks and sills are where add-on money is. List them even when they're included.
Questions window cleaners ask
How do window cleaners charge?
Usually per pane or per window, with inside and outside priced separately and extras for screens, tracks and hard water removal.
Should I invoice window cleaning after each visit?
Yes for one-off jobs. For scheduled route clients, one invoice per visit or a monthly invoice both work. Card on file makes route work easier.
