Plumbing computer software for the repair ticket

Plumbing computer software here means the quote for a leaking stop, the invoice when the water is off, and the payment. Not a dispatch board.

A leaking angle stop, written the way you bill it.

The stop under the lav is weeping, the cabinet floor is wet, and the customer wants a number before you shut the house valve. You already know the shape of the ticket: a trip charge, the stop, the supply line, and a short labor line to swap them.

The lines below are one shop's sample, so the addition can be checked. They are illustrative, not a national price. Prices, licensing, and local rules vary by the job.

How to build a flat rate from your own costs is in how to price plumbing jobs.

LineAmount
Trip charge$95.00
Angle stop$28.00
Supply line$16.00
Labor, half an hour at $130$65.00
Total$204.00

Half an hour at $130 is $65. Add $95, $28, $16, and $65 and the total is $204. A water-heater replacement is a different quote.

After the customer says yes, that sheet becomes the invoice without retyping it. The paper versions are the plumbing estimate template, the plumbing invoice template, and the plumbing quote template.

Invoice software for plumbers, on that ticket.

VanReceipts is an iPhone app for a solo plumber or a small crew. Estimating software for plumbers here is the draft on the phone, not a desktop price book. Classic invoices and estimates are free, with no cap.

Pro is $14.99 a month or $99.99 a year, with a 3-day free trial on the yearly plan. The monthly plan has no trial.

The quote

Plumbing quoting software, and quoting software for plumbers, is this step. Cloud AI drafts lines you can edit. A blank Classic estimate is free.

The invoice

The estimate becomes the invoice in one tap. Send the PDF by text or email, with your logo, your colors, and a quote link.

With Pro and a connection, cloud AI reads vendor, date, total, and every line. With no signal, the phone still reads vendor, date, and total.

Nothing saves until you confirm the job. One pay link goes to your Stripe account, and VanReceipts takes no cut. Stripe keeps its processing fee.

The full list is on pricing. What the repair made is in job costing for plumbers. A wider list is on best apps for plumbers.

What it does not do.

It does not dispatch a tech, and it has no scheduling board. It does not track the van with GPS, and it does not log miles in the background.

You pick From and To and the app works out the distance, or you type the miles. Location is used only when you ask to fill an address or the start of a trip.

It does not keep a price book, file a tax return, connect to QuickBooks, or pull a bank feed. It records the numbers. Export to CSV or Excel is the hand-off to your accountant.

There is no Android, web, or desktop app. Another iPhone uses the same Apple ID with iCloud sync.

Its annual price is the monthly amount on annual billing, not one charge for the year.

QuoteIQ or Housecall Pro is the right buy when the pain is the schedule, or a QuickBooks connection. VanReceipts is the right buy when the pain is the ticket under the sink: the estimate, the invoice, and whether the repair made money after the stop and the supply line.

Questions from the truck

What is plumbing computer software?+

Plumbing computer software is the tool you run the business of a repair on: the quote, the invoice, the payment, and the record of what the call cost. Some products also keep a schedule and dispatch. VanReceipts does the quote, the invoice, the payment, and the job record. It does not dispatch.

What is the best software for a small plumbing business?+

The search best software for small plumbing business has no single winner. A one-person shop that needs a calendar and QuickBooks will look at QuoteIQ Pro or Housecall Pro, at the prices in the table. A shop that needs the estimate and the invoice on the iPhone, and does not need dispatch, is the fit for VanReceipts.

How much does plumbing quoting software cost?+

VanReceipts Pro is $14.99 a month or $99.99 a year, with a 3-day free trial on the yearly plan. On October 16, 2026, QuoteIQ Essentials was $29.99 a month for 1 user, or $299.99 billed once for the year, and Housecall Pro Basic was $79 a month, or $59 a month billed annually. Can I send a plumbing invoice from my iPhone without Pro?+

Yes. Invoices and estimates are free, with no limit, on the Classic template, by Mail, Messages, print, or any share option. Pro adds AI estimates, the other templates, quote and pay links, recording payments, receipts, mileage, and job profit.
