VanReceipts vs Jobber
VanReceipts is for a solo trade or a small crew who quote, invoice, and get paid from an iPhone. Jobber is for a service business that schedules and dispatches a team, on iPhone, Android, and the web.
The short answer
- Jobber is the better buy when you schedule and dispatch a crew: who is on which call, and where the truck is. Scheduling is on Core. Live GPS is on Connect.
- VanReceipts is the better buy when you price the job on an iPhone, send the invoice, and want job profit on Pro, with no per-seat charge and no scheduling board.
- Classic invoices and estimates are free on VanReceipts. Jobber's pricing page lists a 14-day trial of Grow, not a free plan.
On a no-cool call, a solo tech can photograph the condenser and send the estimate from the driveway. That is the path on the HVAC software page. A shop that puts two techs on a board and needs to see which van is closer is the work Jobber sells: scheduling on Core, and live GPS on Connect.
For someone already on Jobber, the longer article is Jobber alternative for solo contractors.
