This policy covers the VanReceipts plugin that you add to a chat app. The plugin checks the price lines of an estimate, quote or invoice and computes the total, and it can keep two photos so a before and after slider and its share link work. There is no account, and the plugin does not read the books kept in the VanReceipts iPhone app. The app has its own privacy policy.
What the plugin receives
For a document: the fields you choose to print, such as your business name, the client name, any contact or address text you typed, the dates and the price lines. We use them to check each line's source and compute the total, then return the document to the chat. We do not store the document.
For a slider: the two photos, whether the after photo is a concept, the time we stored them and a random delete token. You receive the delete link once, in the reply. We keep only a hash of that token, so the link cannot be read back from our storage.
A usage counter records the tool name, the trade, the document kind and the day. It does not record names, lines, totals, photos or the text of the chat.
What the plugin does not collect
- Card numbers, bank details or pay links. The plugin does not take payments.
- Your device location. We remove location data (EXIF GPS) from photos when they are uploaded.
- Photos of people. A photo where a person is the subject should not be uploaded.
How long we keep it
Document contents are not kept after the reply is sent.
Slider photos are kept until you open the delete link, or for 30 days, whichever comes first. After that the files are deleted. The share link uses a long random id, and someone who does not have the link cannot list the photos.
The usage counter is a short operational log of tool name, trade, document kind and day.
Who receives it
The chat app you use sends each tool request to the VanReceipts server so the check, the total or the slider can come back to you. The chat app's own privacy policy covers what it keeps. Photo files are stored with Vercel Blob under the same random id. We do not sell this information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Your choices
Open the delete link to remove your photos before the 30 days are up. To ask about the counter, or about a slider the delete link did not clear, email us.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
