Tree trimming service cost follows height. HomeGuide's average is $400 to $900 per tree. Fixr's average is $175 to $750, about $450.

The bands do not line up, so each calculator row runs from the lower guide's low to the higher guide's high. HomeGuide's full span is $80 to $2,500. Fixr's is $75 to $1,800.
Access, count and cleanup
A tree over a roof, behind a fence, or away from the truck costs more. Neither guide publishes a percent for that, so access moves the price inside the height range.
HomeGuide notes a $100 to $300 minimum. Several trees on one visit often cost less each. This calculator multiplies the per-tree range by the count and does not add that discount.
Hauling the branches is separate. HomeGuide puts debris removal at $75 to $250. Fixr's yard cleanup price is a different service, so it is not in this line.
Trimming is not removal
Taking the tree down is the tree removal cost calculator. HomeGuide puts a full removal at $400 to $1,200 or more, which can overlap a large trim.

Does tree trimming include cleanup?+
Not always. HomeGuide lists hauling branches and wood at $75 to $250 on top of the trim. Ask whether chips stay on site.
Is trimming the same price as tree removal?+
No, removal takes the tree down. Trimming leaves it standing. A removal quote and a trim quote should be separate lines, even when the visit does both.
